Shape Stix

Place the strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover, and let rise for another 20 minutes.

Second Rise

In a food processor, combine basil leaves, pine nuts, garlic cloves, Parmesan cheese, and salt. Pulse until finely chopped.

Make Pesto

With the food processor running, slowly drizzle in olive oil until the pesto reaches the desired consistency. Set aside.

Add Olive Oil

In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley until well combined. Set aside.

Prepare Garlic Butter

Brush the risen bread stix with pesto and place them in the preheated oven. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.

In a small bowl, mix together 1 cup of granulated sugar and 3 tablespoons of ground cinnamon. Set aside.

Prepare Cinnamon Sugar

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick. Cut into strips and then twist each strip before placing them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Shape and Bake

Once the strips are on the baking sheet, brush them lightly with melted butter and then sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.

Preheat the Oven

In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese, 2 tsp of Italian seasoning, 1 tsp of garlic powder, 1 tsp of salt, and 1 tsp of black pepper. Mix until well combined.

Prepare the Cheese Mixture

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use your hands to form the cheese mixture into sticks approximately 1 inch wide and 4 inches long. Place them on the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each stick.

Shape the Cheese Stix

Drizzle 1 tbsp of olive oil over the cheese sticks to help them brown while baking.

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil to 375°F (190°C).

Carefully add frozen tater tots in batches to the hot oil. Fry for about 3-5 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

Using a slotted spoon, remove the tater tots from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Season immediately with salt and black pepper.
