Method

Steak Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes. This ensures even cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Rub the steak with olive oil and season generously with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and fresh rosemary on both sides.

  3. 3

    Cook the Steak

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness. Transfer to a plate and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Tater Tots Preparation

  1. 4

    Heat the Oil

In a large frying pan or deep fryer, heat vegetable oil over medium heat until hot.

  2. 5

    Fry the Tater Tots

Add frozen tater tots to the hot oil in batches, cooking until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with salt immediately.

Assembly

  1. 6

    Layer the Dish

On a large serving platter, arrange the crispy tater tots as a base. Slice the rested ribeye steak and place it on top of the tater tots.

  2. 7

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese generously over the steak and tater tots. You can optionally place it under a broiler for 2-3 minutes to melt the cheese if desired.

  3. 8

    Garnish

Finish with a sprinkle of chopped parsley on top for freshness and serve immediately.
