Method

Croquettes Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Potatoes

Peel and boil the potatoes until tender. Drain and mash them until smooth.

  2. 2

    Mix Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the mashed potatoes, shredded cheddar cheese, flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Shape the Croquettes

Form the mixture into small oval-shaped balls or patties.

  4. 4

    Prepare for Coating

Set up a breading station with a bowl for the beaten eggs and a plate for the bread crumbs.

  5. 5

    Bread the Croquettes

Dip each potato ball in the beaten eggs, then roll in the bread crumbs until fully coated.

  6. 6

    Fry the Croquettes

Heat the vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Fry the croquettes in batches until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
