Ribs and Bacon BBQ Sauce

Method

Preparation and Cooking

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ribs

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Rub the pork ribs with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika. Place them on a baking tray lined with foil.

  2. 2

    Cook the Ribs

Cover the ribs tightly with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours until tender.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Bacon BBQ Sauce

While the ribs are cooking, chop the bacon into small pieces and fry in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Combine the Sauce

In the same skillet, add BBQ sauce and brown sugar to the bacon drippings. Stir well and simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.

  5. 5

    Glaze the Ribs

Once the ribs are tender, remove them from the oven and discard the foil. Brush the Bacon BBQ sauce generously over the ribs. Sprinkle the crispy bacon on top.

  6. 6

    Final Cooking

Increase the oven temperature to 200°C (400°F) and return the ribs to the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.

  7. 7

    Serve

Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with the remaining Bacon BBQ sauce on the side.
