Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare the Fruit

In a large bowl, mix the sliced peaches and blackberries with 1/2 cup of sugar. Let it sit for about 10 minutes to release the juices.

  3. 3

    Make the Cobbler Batter

In another bowl, whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Pour in the milk and melted butter, stirring until just combined.

  4. 4

    Combine and Bake

Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Spoon the fruit mixture over the batter. Do not stir. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.

  5. 5

    Serve

Allow the cobbler to cool slightly before serving. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
