Traditional stuffing made with sage and onion, or an alternative vegan chestnut stuffing.

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

Sauté the onions

In a large bowl, combine the bread crumbs, sautéed onions, chopped sage, salt, and black pepper. If using, add the chopped chestnuts.

Mix the stuffing

Pour the vegetable broth into the mixture and stir until the bread crumbs are well moistened.

Transfer the stuffing mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the stuffing for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown on top.
