1. Sauté the onions

In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until translucent, about 5-7 minutes.

2. Mix the stuffing

In a large bowl, combine the bread crumbs, sautéed onions, chopped sage, salt, and black pepper. If using, add the chopped chestnuts.

3. Add broth
