Salad Ingredients

Burnt Citrus Vinaigrette

Method

Preparation of Burnt Citrus Vinaigrette

1

Char the Citrus

Preheat your grill or a grill pan over medium-high heat. Cut the orange and lemon in half and place them cut-side down on the grill. Cook for 3-4 minutes until charred. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

2

Make the Vinaigrette

In a blender, combine the charred citrus, olive oil, honey, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth and set aside.

Assembly of Panzanella

3

Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine the cubed stale bread and heirloom tomatoes. Tear the burrata into pieces and add to the bowl along with shiso and basil leaves.

4

Dress the Salad

Drizzle the burnt citrus vinaigrette over the salad. Gently toss to combine, ensuring the bread absorbs some of the dressing.

5

Serve

Let the salad sit for about 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld before serving. Enjoy your Heirloom Tomato Panzanella!
