Method

Making the Dough

1

Prepare the Dough

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. In a separate bowl, combine the milk, melted butter, and bee pollen. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until a soft dough forms.

2

Knead the Dough

Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shaping and Baking

3

Shape the Buns

After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide it into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.

4

Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

5

Bake the Buns

Brush the tops of the buns with the beaten egg for a shiny finish. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Remove from the oven and let cool on a wire rack.

Making the Whipped Butter

6

Prepare the Whipped Butter

In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Add honey and bee pollen, and continue to beat until light and fluffy. Serve with the warm buns.
