Bun Preparation

Activate Yeast
In a small bowl, combine warm milk (110°F) with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 10 minutes or until frothy.

Make Dough
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Add the frothy yeast mixture, melted butter, and egg. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead Dough
Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

First Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Shape Buns
Punch down the dough, then divide it into two portions. Shape each portion into buns and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Second Rise
Cover the shaped buns with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Preheat Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Bake the buns for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool before serving.
