Waffle Batter

Whiskey-Maple Butter

Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream

Method

Prepare Waffle Batter

  1. 1

    Mix Dry Ingredients

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

  2. 2

    Combine Wet Ingredients

In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine and Mix

Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; a few lumps are okay.

Cook Waffles

  1. 4

    Preheat Waffle Iron

Preheat your Belgian waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.

  2. 5

    Cook Waffles

Pour enough batter into the preheated waffle iron to just cover the waffle grid. Close the lid and cook according to the manufacturer's instructions, until the waffles are golden brown.

Prepare Whiskey-Maple Butter

  1. 6

    Mix Ingredients

In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, maple syrup, and whiskey. Mix until smooth and well combined.

Prepare Vanilla Bean Whipped Cream

  1. 7

    Whip Cream

In a mixing bowl, beat heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla bean paste until soft peaks form.

Cook Bacon & Potatoes

  1. 8

    Prepare Bacon

In a skillet over medium heat, cook the applewood smoked bacon until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 9

    Cook Breakfast Potatoes

In the same skillet, cook breakfast potatoes until golden brown and crispy. Season to taste.

Serve

  1. 10

    Plate the Dish

Serve the waffles topped with whiskey-maple butter, fresh seasonal berries, and a dollop of vanilla bean whipped cream. Serve with crispy bacon and breakfast potatoes on the side.
