Cooking Instructions
Prepare the Marinade
In a bowl, combine hoisin sauce, tamarind paste, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, and minced ginger. Mix well to create a marinade.
Marinate the Ribs
Place the spareribs in a large resealable bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the ribs, ensuring they are fully coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight.
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
Cook the Ribs
Remove the ribs from the marinade and reserve the marinade. Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with foil. Bake in the preheated oven for about 2 hours, basting occasionally with the reserved marinade.
Finish and Serve
Increase oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until the ribs are caramelized. Remove from the oven, sprinkle with sesame seeds and sliced scallions before serving.
