Preparation Steps
Step 1: Prepare the Dough
In a small bowl, dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm milk. Let it sit for about 10 minutes until frothy. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Make a well in the center and add the yeast mixture, melted butter, and eggs. Mix until a dough forms.
Step 2: Knead the Dough
Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a cloth, and let rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
Step 3: Shape the Rolls
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and turn it out onto a floured surface. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Shape each piece into a ball and place them in a greased baking pan. Cover and let rise for another 30 minutes.
Step 4: Bake the Rolls
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the rolls for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top. Remove from the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving.
