Preparing Ingredients
Boil the Penne Pasta
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the penne pasta and cook until al dente according to the package instructions, about 10-12 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Prepare the Garlic and Parsley
Peel and finely chop the garlic cloves. Wash and finely chop the fresh parsley leaves. Set both aside for use in the sauce.
Making the Arrabbiata Sauce
Sauté Garlic and Chili Flakes
In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add the chopped garlic and red chili flakes. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until the garlic becomes fragrant but not browned.
Season the Sauce
Season the sauce with salt to taste. Continue to simmer for another 2-3 minutes to allow flavors to meld together.
Combining Pasta and Sauce
Toss Pasta with Sauce
Add the drained penne pasta to the skillet with the arrabbiata sauce. Toss well to ensure the pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
Add Fresh Herbs
Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the pasta and toss again to combine. Remove from heat.
Serving
Serve Hot
Transfer the Penne All Arrabbiata to individual plates or a serving dish. Optionally, garnish with additional parsley or a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
