Method
Prepare the Filling
Mix Ingredients
In a mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, minced garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
Assemble the Wontons
Fill the Wrappers
Take a wonton wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the filling in the center. Make sure not to overfill.
Seal the Wontons
Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water. Fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle, pressing firmly to seal. Alternatively, you can bring the two corners of the triangle together to form a purse shape. Ensure there are no air bubbles.
Fry the Wontons
Heat the Oil
In a deep frying pan or a wok, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it's hot enough for frying. You can test the temperature by dropping a small piece of wonton wrapper into the oil; it should sizzle immediately.
Fry the Wontons
Carefully add the prepared wontons into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Fry them in batches for about 3-4 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy.
Drain the Wontons
Using a slotted spoon, remove the fried wontons and let them drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
Serve
Plate and Enjoy
Serve the fried wontons hot with your choice of dipping sauce, such as sweet chili sauce or soy sauce.
