Cooking Instructions
Marinating the Pork
In a bowl, mix soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, brown sugar, honey, five-spice powder, salt, minced garlic, and minced ginger to create a marinade.
Preparing the Pork
Place the pork belly in a large resealable plastic bag or a shallow dish. Pour the marinade over the pork, ensuring it is well coated. Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
Preheating the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Roasting the Pork
Remove the pork from the marinade and place it on a baking rack over a lined baking sheet. Reserve the marinade for basting. Roast the pork in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, basting with the reserved marinade every 15 minutes.
Finishing the Dish
Once the pork is caramelized and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 160°F/71°C), remove it from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
Serving
Slice the pork belly and serve garnished with chopped green onions.
