Gyoza Filling and Dough

Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Prepare the Filling

In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, chopped cabbage, sliced green onions, minced garlic, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until evenly combined.

2

Fill the Gyoza

Take a gyoza wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold it in half, and crimp the edges to seal tightly. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

3

Cook the Gyoza

In a large skillet, heat a little oil over medium heat. Arrange gyoza in the skillet and cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.

4

Steam the Gyoza

Carefully add about 1/4 cup of water to the skillet and cover immediately. Allow the gyoza to steam for 5-6 minutes, or until fully cooked.

5

Prepare the Garlic Soy Sauce

In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, minced garlic, and a dash of sesame oil for dipping sauce.

6

Serve

Serve the gyoza hot with the garlic soy sauce on the side.
