Fried Jalapenos

Method

Preparation and Cooking

1

Prepare the Jalapenos

Slice the jalapenos in half lengthwise and remove the seeds carefully. This will help reduce the heat level.

2

Make the Filling

In a bowl, mix the spicy tuna and softened cream cheese until well combined. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.

3

Stuff the Jalapenos

Fill each jalapeno half with the spicy tuna and cream cheese mixture, pressing lightly to ensure it holds together.

4

Coat the Jalapenos

Set up a breading station with the beaten egg in one bowl and breadcrumbs in another. Dip each stuffed jalapeno half into the egg, then coat with breadcrumbs.

5

Fry the Jalapenos

In a deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated jalapenos and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

6

Drain and Serve

Remove the fried jalapenos from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Drizzle with eel sauce before serving.
