Beverage Base

Method

Beverage Preparation

1

Brew the Tea

In a medium-sized pot, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and add the black tea bags. Let steep for 5-7 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

2

Sweeten the Tea

Remove the tea bags and stir in 1 cup of sugar while the tea is still warm. Ensure the sugar fully dissolves.

3

Add Lemon Juice

Once the tea has cooled slightly, stir in 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. This adds a refreshing tartness to the drink.

Final Touches

4

Prepare the Glasses

In a tall glass, add a handful of ice cubes (about 1 cup).

5

Add Mint and Berries

Gently muddle 1 cup of mint leaves and 1 cup of fresh berries into the ice to release their flavors.

6

Combine and Serve

Pour the sweetened lemon tea over the muddled mint and berries. Stir gently to combine and garnish with additional mint leaves if desired. Serve immediately.
