For the Sloppy Sauce

1

Cook the Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

2

Add Vegetables

Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until softened.

3

Make the Sauce

Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

For the House-Made Pickles

4

Prepare the Brine

In a saucepan, combine white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, dill weed, and smashed garlic cloves. Bring to a boil.

5

Pickle the Cucumbers

Pour the hot brine over the sliced cucumbers in a jar. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

For the Burger Assembly

6

Assemble the Burger

Toast the hamburger buns. Place a scoop of sloppy sauce on the bottom half, add a slice of cheddar cheese, and top with house-made pickles. Cover with the top half of the bun.
