For the Sloppy Sauce

1. Cook the Beef

In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.

2. Add Vegetables

Add the chopped onion, green bell pepper, and minced garlic. Cook until softened.

3. Make the Sauce

Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 10 minutes.

For the House-Made Pickles

4. Prepare the Brine

In a saucepan, combine white vinegar, water, sugar, salt, dill weed, and smashed garlic cloves. Bring to a boil.

5. Pickle the Cucumbers

Pour the hot brine over the sliced cucumbers in a jar. Allow to cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

For the Burger Assembly

6. Assemble the Burger

Toast the hamburger buns. Place a scoop of sloppy sauce on the bottom half, add a slice of cheddar cheese, and top with house-made pickles. Cover with the top half of the bun.
