Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the Black Angus ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Mix gently until just combined. Form the mixture into two equal-sized patties.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness. Add a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty during the last minute of cooking to melt.

  3. 3

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the brioche buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Burger

On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, a slice of tomato, onion slices, ketchup, and mustard. Top with the other half of the bun.
