Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Patties
In a bowl, combine the ground chuck beef, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently with your hands until combined. Shape the mixture into two equal-sized patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing while cooking.
- 2
Charbroil the Patties
Preheat your grill or charbroiler to high heat. Place the patties on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side. Flip the patties and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. If you're adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.
- 3
Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill until golden brown.
- 4
Assemble the Burger
Place the cooked patties on the bottom half of the toasted buns. Top with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and your choice of condiments (ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise). Cover with the top half of the bun.
- 5
Serve
Serve immediately with your favorite side dishes.
