Meatballs
Method
Preparation
- 1
Make the Meatball Mixture
In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, ground bison, chopped almonds, cooked rice, raisins, minced garlic, chopped onion, egg, salt, black pepper, ground cumin, and chopped mint. Mix until well combined.
- 2
Form the Meatballs
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Shape the meat mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- 3
Bake the Meatballs
Drizzle the olive oil over the meatballs. Bake in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through and browned.
- 4
Prepare the Tomato Mint Sauce
While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tomato mint sauce by combining diced tomatoes, chopped fresh mint, salt, and pepper in a saucepan over medium heat. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
- 5
Serve
Once the meatballs are done, serve them drizzled with tomato mint sauce and tzatziki sauce.
