Preparing the Salad
- 1
Wash and Prepare Lettuce
Rinse the romaine lettuce under cold water. Remove any wilted or damaged leaves. Tear the lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.
- 2
Add Croutons
Sprinkle the croutons over the torn romaine lettuce in the salad bowl.
Making the Caesar Dressing
- 3
Combine Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, minced garlic, lemon juice, grated Parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper.
- 4
Whisk Together
Using a whisk, mix all the ingredients together until the dressing is smooth and well combined.
- 5
Adjust Seasoning
Taste the dressing and adjust seasoning if needed, adding more salt or pepper to taste.
Assembling the Salad
- 6
Dress the Salad
Pour the Caesar dressing over the romaine lettuce and croutons in the salad bowl. Use salad tongs to gently toss the salad until the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.
- 7
Serve
Serve the Caesar salad immediately on individual plates or in a large serving bowl, garnished with additional grated Parmesan cheese if desired.
