Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean and Slice the Mushrooms
Clean the Cremini, Shiitake, and Button mushrooms with a damp cloth. Remove the stems if necessary and slice them into even pieces.
Make the Brown Sauce

Sauté Aromatics
In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and finely chopped shallots, cooking until they become fragrant and translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the Liquids
Pour in the soy sauce, vegetable broth, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir well to combine and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Thicken the Sauce
In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with a little cold water to create a slurry. Gradually add this to the mushroom mixture, stirring constantly until the sauce thickens, about 2-3 minutes.

Season the Sauce
Season the sauce with black pepper and salt to taste. Adjust the seasoning as necessary.
Serve the Dish

Garnish and Serve
Remove the skillet from heat. Sprinkle the chopped fresh parsley over the mushrooms and sauce. Serve warm as a side dish or over rice/noodles.
