Spicy Chicken
Method
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
In a bowl, mix together the cayenne pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken tenders to the bowl and coat them with the spice mixture. Then, pour the buttermilk over the chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- 2
Coat the Chicken
After marinating, remove the chicken from the buttermilk and let excess drip off. Dredge each tender in all-purpose flour until fully coated. Shake off excess flour.
- 3
Fry the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the chicken tenders in batches and fry until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- 4
Assemble the Sandwich
Place fried chicken tenders on the sandwich buns. Top with house-made coleslaw. Serve with mac-n-cheese and french fries on the side.
