Fried Green Plantains & French Fries

Method

Grilling Meats

  1. 1

    Prepare the Grill

Preheat your grill to high heat.

  2. 2

    Season the Meats

Season the skirt steak, chicken breasts, and pork chops with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Grill the Meats

Place the skirt steak, chicken, and pork chops on the grill. Cook the skirt steak for about 6-8 minutes per side for medium-rare, chicken for 6-7 minutes per side, and pork chops for 5-6 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Making Spanish Sauce

  1. 4

    Sauté Ingredients

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic, diced onion, and bell pepper. Sauté until softened.

  2. 5

    Add Tomatoes and Seasoning

Add diced tomatoes, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Cook for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens.

Frying Plantains and Fries

  1. 6

    Fry Plantains

In a deep frying pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the sliced green plantains until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side. Remove and drain on paper towels.

  2. 7

    Fry French Fries

In the same oil, add the cut potatoes and fry until golden and crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels.
