Method
Preparation
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to ensure it's hot enough for baking.
Prepare the Baking Sheet
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
Mixing Ingredients
Combine Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until well combined.
Combine Wet and Dry Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined; do not overmix.
Adding Mix-ins
Fold in Add-ins
Gently fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips, chopped nuts, and oats until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
Baking
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop rounded balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 2 inches between each cookie.
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown and the tops look set.
Cool
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
