Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the linguine and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain the linguine and set aside.

Prepare the Pasta

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes, sautéing until fragrant, about 1-2 minutes. Add the clams and white wine, cover, and cook until the clams have opened, about 5-7 minutes.

Cook the Clams

Once the clams are cooked, add the drained linguine to the skillet. Toss to combine, adding reserved pasta water as needed to create a sauce. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Remove from heat and stir in chopped parsley.

Combine and Finish

Serve the linguine and clams hot, garnished with additional parsley and a sprinkle of red pepper flakes if desired.
