Preparation Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Garlic Bread

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice the garlic bread loaves in half lengthwise and place them on a baking sheet. In a small bowl, mix softened butter with minced garlic (from the garlic cloves) and spread it generously on the cut sides of the bread. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.

  2. 2

    Cook the Steak and Vegetables

While the bread is baking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add sliced onions and green bell peppers, and sauté for about 5 minutes until softened. Push the vegetables to the side and add the ribeye steak to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, and cook for about 3-5 minutes until the steak is browned and cooked through.

  3. 3

    Combine and Melt the Cheese

Once the steak is cooked, mix it with the sautéed vegetables. Layer the provolone cheese on top and cover the skillet with a lid for a few minutes to allow the cheese to melt.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Sandwiches

Remove the garlic bread from the oven and spoon the steak and vegetable mixture onto the toasted sides of the bread. Top with any remaining melted cheese from the skillet.

  5. 5

    Serve

Cut the garlic bread cheesesteaks into portions and serve hot. Enjoy your unique twist on a classic!
