Preparation
Cook the Steel Cut Oats
In a medium saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil. Add 1 cup of steel cut oats and 1 tsp of salt. Reduce heat to low and simmer uncovered for about 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the oats are tender and have absorbed most of the water.
Prepare the Toppings
While the oats are cooking, prepare your choice of seasonal fruits by washing and slicing them as necessary. Measure out the raisins, almonds, granola, and maple syrup.
Assemble the Dish
Once the oats are cooked, remove from heat and let sit for a few minutes. Serve the oats in bowls and top with seasonal fruits, raisins, almonds, granola, and a drizzle of maple syrup.
