Nashville Hot Sauce Ingredients
Method
Preparation Instructions
Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, combine the cayenne pepper, brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the dry ingredients are evenly blended.
Heat the Oil
In a small saucepan over medium heat, add the vegetable oil and heat until hot, but not smoking.
Combine and Cook
Once the oil is hot, carefully pour it over the dry ingredient mixture. Stir well to combine. The heat from the oil will help to activate the spices.
Add the Vinegar and Hot Sauce
Add the vinegar and hot sauce to the mixture, stirring until smooth and well combined.
Cool and Store
Allow the sauce to cool completely before transferring it to a jar or airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
