Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Steak

Take the ribeye steak out of the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking.

  2. 2

    Season the Steak

Pat the steak dry with paper towels. Rub both sides with olive oil, then season generously with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Heat the Pan

Heat a cast-iron skillet or heavy frying pan over high heat until it is very hot.

  4. 4

    Cook the Steak

Place the ribeye in the pan and sear for about 4-5 minutes on one side without moving it. Flip the steak and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium-rare.

  5. 5

    Add Garlic and Rosemary

In the last minute of cooking, add the garlic cloves and rosemary to the pan. Baste the steak with the flavorful oil using a spoon.

  6. 6

    Rest the Steak

Remove the ribeye from the pan and let it rest for at least 5 minutes before slicing.

  7. 7

    Serve

Slice the ribeye against the grain and serve immediately.
