Mousse Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Gelatin
In a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin powder over the cold water and let it sit for about 5 minutes to bloom.
- 2
Melt the Gelatin
Once bloomed, gently heat the mixture in the microwave or over a double boiler until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Set aside to cool slightly.
- 3
Make the Mousse Base
In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- 4
Whip the Cream
In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Then, slowly fold in the gelatin mixture into the peanut butter mixture.
- 5
Combine Mixtures
Gently fold the whipped cream into the peanut butter mixture until well combined and fluffy.
- 6
Chill the Mousse
Transfer the mousse into a piping bag and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
