Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Pasta

Cook the shell pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

    Make the Mornay Sauce

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk for about 2 minutes. Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously until the sauce thickens. Stir in the white cheddar and Swiss cheese until melted. Season with salt and black pepper.

  3. 3

    Roast the Tomatoes

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the chopped Roma tomatoes and cook until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Caramelize the Onions

In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and cook on low heat until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.

  5. 5

    Combine Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, mornay sauce, roasted tomatoes, chopped bacon, and caramelized onions. Mix well.

  6. 6

    Assemble the Dish

Transfer the pasta mixture to a baking dish. Top with fried chicken tenders and drizzle with Calabrian chili aioli.

  7. 7

    Bake and Serve

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake for 20 minutes until heated through. Serve hot.
