Blondie and Brownie Batter
Method
Blondie and Brownie Preparation
- 1
Make the Batter
In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the brown sugar and granulated sugar, cooking until the mixture is melted and smooth. Remove from heat and let cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- 2
Layer the Batter
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour half of the batter into the prepared dish and spread evenly. Crumble half of the candied bacon over the batter, then carefully pour the remaining batter on top. Finally, sprinkle the rest of the candied bacon on top. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
