Cake and Mousses

Method

Preparation

1

Prepare the Devil's Food Cake

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the devil's food cake mix according to the package instructions using eggs and water. Pour the batter into a greased cake pan and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool completely.

2

Make the Chocolate Mousse

In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate mousse mix with heavy cream. Whip until soft peaks form. Set aside in the refrigerator to chill.

3

Assemble the Layered Dessert

Once the cake has cooled, slice it into layers. Place the first layer on a serving plate, spread a layer of chocolate mousse on top, and repeat with additional layers. Top with chocolate ganache.

4

Prepare the Strawberry Mousse

In a separate bowl, prepare the strawberry mousse mix according to package instructions. Once ready, layer it on top of the cake.

5

Add Ice Cream and Garnishes

Scoop chocolate liqueur ice cream on top of the final layer of mousse. Decorate with candied cacao nibs, fresh strawberries, and mandarin segments.

6

Finish with Milk Foam

Dollop marak's milk foam on top of the dessert for a creamy finish.
