Catfish Filet

Method

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Fries

Preheat your oven and cook the frozen French fries according to the package instructions until golden brown and crispy.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Coleslaw

In a bowl, combine the coleslaw mix with coleslaw dressing. Mix well and set aside in the refrigerator until serving.

  3. 3

    Prepare the Catfish

In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. In another bowl, mix the cornmeal, flour, Cajun seasoning, salt, and black pepper.

  4. 4

    Coat the Catfish

Dip each catfish filet in the egg mixture, then dredge in the cornmeal mixture until well coated.

  5. 5

    Fry the Catfish

In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, carefully add the coated catfish filets. Fry for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.

  6. 6

    Serve

Remove the catfish from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with fries, coleslaw, and tartar sauce on the side.
