Directions
- 1
Prepare the Jalapeños
Slice the jalapeño peppers in half lengthwise and remove the seeds for less heat. Set aside.
- 2
Prepare the Bacon
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place a wire rack on top.
- 3
Make the Glaze
In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, maple syrup, black pepper, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and salt. Mix until well combined.
- 4
Wrap the Jalapeños
Take a half of the jalapeño and wrap it with a piece of bacon, securing it with a toothpick if necessary. Repeat until all jalapeños are wrapped.
- 5
Glaze the Jalapeños
Place the wrapped jalapeños on the wire rack. Brush the brown sugar glaze generously over each piece.
- 6
Bake
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the bacon is crispy and the glaze is bubbly.
- 7
Serve
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your candied jalapeño bacon!
