Tuna Tartare

Taro Chips

Method

Prepare Taro Chips

1

Slice and Fry

Peel the taro root and slice it thinly (about 1/8 inch thick). Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the taro slices in batches until golden and crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and drain on paper towels, then sprinkle with sea salt.

Prepare Tuna Tartare

Mix Ingredients

Dice the sushi-grade tuna and place it in a bowl. Add lime juice, sesame oil, soy sauce, honey, and chopped green onions. Season with sea salt to taste. Gently mix to combine.

3

Prepare Avocado

Cut the hass avocado in half, remove the pit, and scoop out the flesh. Dice the avocado and gently fold it into the tuna mixture.

Serve the tuna tartare in a small bowl or on a plate, accompanied by the crispy taro chips on the side.
