Mix Dry Ingredients
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk, egg, melted unsalted butter, and vanilla extract until fully incorporated.

Combine Mixtures
Pour the wet ingredients into the bowl with the dry ingredients. Gently stir until just combined; it's okay if there are a few lumps. Do not overmix.

Preheat Pan
Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat. Lightly grease with a small amount of butter or cooking spray.

Cook Pancakes
Pour about 1/4 cup of the batter onto the skillet for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface and the edges look set, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
