If using fresh oranges, slice them in half and juice them until you have at least 2 cups of fresh orange juice. Strain the juice to remove pulp if desired.

Chilling the Ingredients
Ensure that the sparkling wine is chilled. You can place the bottle in the refrigerator for a few hours before serving or in an ice bucket for about 30 minutes.

Combining the Ingredients
In a large pitcher, gently mix the fresh orange juice and the chilled sparkling wine. Pour the sparkling wine slowly to preserve the bubbles.

Pour the mimosa mixture into champagne flutes or glasses. For an elegant touch, garnish each glass with a slice of orange and a mint leaf if desired.
