Dough Preparation

Activate the Yeast
In a small bowl, combine 1/4 cup of warm milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and the yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until bubbly.

Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms. Knead on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until smooth.

Let it Rise
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until doubled in size.

Prepare the Filling
In a bowl, mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together. Melt the butter for spreading on the dough.

Roll the Dough
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out on a floured surface into a rectangle about 1/4 inch thick.

Form Cinnamon Rolls
Starting from one edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Cut into 12 equal pieces.

Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.

Bake the Rolls
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.

While the rolls are baking, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.

Once the rolls are out of the oven, let them cool slightly before drizzling the cream cheese icing on top.
