Method
Preparation
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- 2
Prepare the Brussels Sprouts
Trim the ends of the Brussels sprouts and remove any yellow or damaged outer leaves. Rinse them under cold water and pat dry.
- 3
Toss with Oil and Seasoning
In a large mixing bowl, combine the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the sprouts are evenly coated.
Roasting
- 4
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Spread the Brussels sprouts out in a single layer on a baking sheet.
- 5
Roast
Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the sprouts are golden brown and crispy on the outside, stirring halfway through.
Balsamic Glaze Preparation
- 6
Prepare the Glaze
While the Brussels sprouts are roasting, prepare the balsamic glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the balsamic vinegar and honey over medium heat.
- 7
Reduce the Glaze
Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes, or until it thickens slightly and coats the back of a spoon.
Final Assembly
- 8
Combine and Serve
Once the Brussels sprouts are roasted, remove them from the oven and drizzle the balsamic glaze over the top. Toss to combine and serve warm.
