1. Prepare the Hummus Base

In a food processor, combine the canned chickpeas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, salt, and water. Blend until smooth. If the mixture is too thick, add a little more water to achieve your desired consistency.

2. Flavor the Hummus

Add the Aleppo pepper and half of the fresh parsley to the hummus mixture. Pulse a few times to incorporate.

3. Toast the Pine Nuts

In a small skillet over medium heat, toast the pine nuts for about 3-5 minutes, stirring frequently until they are golden brown. Be careful not to burn them.

4. Serve the Hummus

Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle the toasted pine nuts on top, and garnish with the remaining parsley. Serve with pita bread or vegetable sticks.
