Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the Steak

Season the hanger steak with ras el hanout, salt, and pepper. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.

2

Cook the Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare, or to your desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest.

3

Blister the Peppers

In the same skillet or grill, add shishito peppers and drizzle with olive oil. Cook until the skin is blistered, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

4

Make the Caramelized Onion Tahini

In a pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Slice the onion and cook until caramelized, about 15-20 minutes. Once caramelized, add tahini, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well until smooth.

5

Serve

Slice the rested hanger steak and serve it alongside blistered shishito peppers and drizzled with caramelized onion tahini.
