Crab Cake Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Mixture

In a large bowl, combine the Dungeness crab meat, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, Old Bay seasoning, green onions, beaten egg, breadcrumbs, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until just combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.

  2. 2

    Form the Cakes

Using your hands, form the mixture into small patties, about 2-3 inches in diameter. Place them on a plate and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to help them firm up.

  3. 3

    Cook the Crab Cakes

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Add the crab cakes in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and heated through.

  4. 4

    Serve

Remove the crab cakes from the skillet and drain on paper towels. Serve warm as an appetizer or amuse-bouche.
