Cooking Instructions

1

Prepare the clams

Rinse the Manila clams under cold water to remove any sand or debris. Discard any clams that are open and do not close when tapped.

2

Sauté aromatics

In a large pot or deep skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and chopped shallots, and sauté until translucent, about 2-3 minutes.

3

Add clams and wine

Add the rinsed clams to the pot along with the white wine. Stir to combine, then cover the pot with a lid.

4

Steam the clams

Allow the clams to steam for about 5-7 minutes, or until they have opened up. Discard any clams that remain closed.

5

Finish and serve

Stir in chopped fresh parsley, squeeze lemon juice over the clams, and season with salt and black pepper to taste. Serve immediately with crusty bread.
