Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Patties
Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and form them into loose balls. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Heat the Pan
In a large skillet, heat the cooking oil over medium-high heat.
- 3
Sear the Patties
Place the beef balls in the skillet and smash them down with a spatula to create thin patties. Cook for about 2-3 minutes on one side until browned.
- 4
Add Cheese
Flip the patties and immediately place the American, Swiss, Provolone, and Cheddar slices on top of each patty. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella over both patties.
- 5
Melt the Cheese
Cover the skillet with a lid and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the patties are cooked through.
- 6
Assemble the Burgers
Toast the burger buns if desired. Place the lettuce on the bottom bun, followed by the cooked patties with melted cheese. Add tomato and onion slices on top, then place the top bun.
