Cooking Instructions
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper on both sides.
- 2
Dredge the Chicken
Set up a breading station with three bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in the flour, dip in the eggs, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- 3
Cook the Chicken
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the breaded chicken breasts and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer the chicken to a baking sheet.
- 4
Add Marinara and Cheese
Spoon marinara sauce over the chicken breasts, then sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese on top.
- 5
Bake
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 6
Assemble the Hoagies
While the chicken is baking, slice the hoagie rolls open. Once the chicken is done, place each piece in a hoagie roll, top with fresh basil leaves, and serve hot.
