Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced onions and bell peppers and sauté until they are soft and caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patty

In a bowl, season the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Form into two patties. In another skillet, cook the patties over medium-high heat for about 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Melt

On one slice of Texas toast, place a cooked patty, top with sautéed onions and peppers, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese. Place another slice of Texas toast on top.

  4. 4

    Grill the Sandwich

In the same skillet, grill the sandwich on medium heat until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

  5. 5

    Serve with Sides

Serve the Fiesta Patty Melt with a side of pico de gallo and your choice of French fries or tater tots.
